I had unknowingly waived my rights and I was held for "resisting arrest" for one week until the swelling and marks on my face were gone and they released me. this was a year before the RNC so I don't think its associated. but I definitely believe this guy I've been to the same place and witnessed firsthand abuse and torture of prisoners in the Ramsey county jail.

hospital shortly after I regained consciousness to the same jail Ramsey county jail where the guy who takes your fingerprints decided to grab me from the back of the neck and slam my swollen eye into cement bench then press all of his weight on it while my hands were cuffed behind my back I do remember that.. the next day they took me to "court" after I had received virtually no medical attention and was suffering from a concussion they had me sign papers in trade for an advil capsule.

well there isn't much you can do to prove what goes on inside of the jail but I got arrested once for resisting arrest.. believe it or not and I got pepper sprayed and punched in the eye and my eye was swollen shut for a week with the spray in it. I woke up in a hospital bloodied and bruised I still can't remember the incident where I resisted because I was knocked unconscious and I also suffered permanent eye damage and bruised ribs, anyways that's not the end of it I was taken from the -

Pretty Simple really. Nueces county Rep. leadership is used to making up the lists of 'delegates' to the county conv. out of thin air instead of getting people involved and actually electing people. This time someone objected, they are trying to cover it up and breaking more laws in the process - denied access to open records, falsified records, railroaded the convention, and the list goes on. Trust me, you don't want to ever sent to that hospital. Although not all their staff is this bad, you should really see them sometimes. A friend was sent to the psych ward for depression and we went there during visiting hours. There was staff member sitting at his chair with his hand behind his head falling asleep as we went. Then at breakfast time we were told that they had nasty attitudes to some of the patients who requested minor things as extra condiments. My condolences to her family.

Hi, I read the book too! It was very detailed & the author actually did a very thorough research on their romance. I recalled he managed to find out how it was for Robert (played by Clint Eastwood) during his last living years where he retired & put up at a run-down shack when he interviewed a visually-handicapped saxaphone player, who heard him crying ;( their romance was so pure, selfless & untainted by lust. It's jux so ... sad, that they can't be together at the end of it *SIGH*

Yeah, the same scenes made me cry as well. Read the book, and it's the first time I'm crying just by reading. It's really sad, Meryl Streep is the most talentes acress of all time.

I'm not sure there isn't anything that Keaggy can't play. His electric guitar work is awesome. 'nothing but the blood' off hymnsongs is so smooth. I've seen McKee live recently and he was good, but not even in the same conversation as Phil, IMO.

This movie reminds me of somebody. I had the same sacrifice 14yrs ago. Letting someone go especially someone you really loved was so hard and painful. We watched this movie together, i think in 1994, that's the point of realization. I still cry everytime I view this film.
