You're right. I thought about it after I posted and your intended audience may not need to know about inertial frames anyway. This is a very good video. You could have the 50kg start slow and end pretty fast and have the 100kg start really slow and end at a moderate speed. Keep the videos coming.

You've done a great job integrating tech with teaching. You asked so I have 2 points: 1) In both your illustrations for acceleration, you show the masses moving at CONSTANT velocity (looks like it anyway). Consider making the masses look more like they are speeding up. Or maybe choose a different way to illustrate acceleration. 2) I know the concept of an inertial reference frame is difficult to explain but it is integral to Newton's first two laws so you might consider adding it to this video.

Excelent video! I do animations with 3d studio max and i love the use that you've given the program, simple but perfectly effective. The voice is perfect, the rythim is flawless. Hopefully, i'll bee seeing more of these kind of videos. I would love to know a lot of physics... Quantum physics, optics, dynamics... Please do another one!

It should be. NASA currently has a budget of about 16 billion a year, which is pretty high, it's average budget is around 10 billion a year. By contrast, the defense budget is 400 billion a year. if NASA earned one tenth of the defense budget, fuck, we'd be landing people on titan by now. During the apollo program, NASA earned 25 billion a year, and almost all of that was spent on apollo. Now they have less money, and a lot of smaller programs.

The shuttle is also used to launch all kinds of satellites. All a moon base would do is study the surface of the moon (and only a small section of it) and better prepare for surface expeditions to other places. There are numerous other difficulties too. The shuttle was pretty much a neccasary step to be taken before building a moon base.
