This is a terribly biased and misinformed piece isn't it? What is really bad is that there has been so much more info available since this went up, but there was no retraction or clarification of fats. Notice the "leading" terms & phrases (notice "no justice, no peace" - the slogan of the LA riots, on a blackboard in the classroom) and the tone of the piece. It is obviously meant to incite rather than to inform.

I've read the witness reports from the guy (Robert Bailey) who was attacked. He was punched in his face by a man at a private party that Bailey tried to enter. The man's friends held Bailey's boys back while the man assaulted him. That man was convicted of the assault, but no one made any claims about beer bottles until months later.

According to the accounts given by the Black Students who were thrown out of the Gas Station after being caught trying to ShopLift they saw the Young Man and chased him to his truck where he grabbed the ShotGun in Self Defense and was beaten up and had the Gun taken from him by the teens according to their own accounts.
