Does anyone know what the XPS built in audio speakers are like,do they have the same audio clicking problem as the dell studio 15. I have ordered the dell studio 15, but thinking of canceling due to its poor audio. I know external speakers will enhance, but need to know what xps audio is like for basic music playback.

Besides a Google search no. You could try to pic through Dell's website to see if other laptops that support XP have similar hardware as the M1530 but this isn't supported or guaranteed to work.

This computer is a low quality piece of GARBAGE! I have had it for one month: - blue screen of death on day 1 - have reinstalled windows 3 TIMES - have already had to replace the hard drive - with the new hard drive its slower than before for some reason - the sound is messed up now too..and i have reinstalled the sound driver like 3 times..doesnt solve the problem DO NOT BUY!!! I have a friend that used to work for Dell in TX, and he said I should have got all that stuff. I told him I just got the laptop in one box, and the cd's/booklets/power cord in another box. He said "Yeah, I'd call them about that, that's not how we did things when I worked there. He only left Dell about 3 months ago.

Im planning one also in the next week and I talked to a sales rep who said "they did not include any of these products in the shipment." So unless they magically ship with or the rep is an idiot, I think that maybe they were sent because the 1530 came out around the time the video was made. So it is possible that these items came with the system because it was released around that time.

i've had that hp laptop and warning buy at own risk. less then 3 months and the hard drive became corrupt i had to buy a new hdd. after looking around forums and such it turns out theres wifi, hdd, motherboard, and the touch pad/power button problems. my lappy is still under repair and still worried if there are any other problems that might happen. last note i was planning on buying that dell but after reading the comments i'm not too sure.

Now both of these computers can be upgraded to about the same standards. However, if you customized both of these computers to be equally as good, the HP will be cheaper, and it looks better. Overall the HP, which i purchased, is a great buy. I also recommend that before you upgrade to something, Google it to see if it is worth it. Some upgrades do absolutely nothing after a certain point. Dell has a habit of including useless and unnoticeable upgrades just to make a little extra.

I disagree. HP has exceptional build and so does dell. It all depends on how you want it to look. In most cases HP's are cheaper and you get the same exact parts or even better parts. Dell is somewhat like apple. They charge more for the same parts than the competition. In my opinion HP is better and a few steps ahead of dell

Piece of crap, i bought one (not to mension the price) and i rarely use it & i keep it in cold room then after 1 & half year the motherboard & video card damaged & the dealer give only 1 year warranty ,this type of notebook should be for heavy use but no this one is not, then the repair price is equal to buy a 17 inch notebook,i couldn't believe it, its not for heavy use (or even normal use) beware its a piece of crap, i swear i will never buy a dell after my money went to the fly with this one

I purchased the HP HDX instead of this. It seems as though Dell has almost completely forgotten about this one, it takes a bit to find it on the website, and the specs are fairly outdated. There's no blu-ray option, the video card is pretty weak actually, and there is no 1080p screen res option, all of these are available with the HDX. I'm glad Dell pioneered the 20" notebook, but they sorely need to keep it up to date, or do a complete overhaul and give us something new.

Does anyone know if this still comes with the Dell Premium Remote Control and Mouse? It's listed under "Design" on the Dell webiste, but when I customized it, it is not included under "Also Included with this System". I asked a Dell Representative in their Chat Room and she resonded that the items are not included. I might have been to broad when asking about the "Media Remote".
