I think it's interesting when people say that Mozart's music lacked emotion...on the contrary his music is some of the most touching music ever written. I think maybe it was written by some critic at one point and everyone decided to jump on board with that. Tchaikovsky actually, claimed Mozart to be the king of music.

Like I said, I figured I'd eventually get the serial number and I did. It didn't show up on the "my account" section of the web page for about 24 hours. I'm just saying it's kind of annoying buying Downloadable software online so you can use it right away then finding out you might as well have gone to a shop during business hours. Actually, I would have been able to use it quicker that way and probably would have gotten it cheaper.

I've never had a problem, I too downloaded the software. Studio Instruments is a very great piece of software, for the money you can do excellent compositions and it adds creativity to your sounds. Please just contact Cakewalk and you should get an serial number. Also you should have an account with Cakewalk log into your account and it should have a serial number and other records of cakewalk products you have.

Paid for it. Downloaded it. Started installing it and it hits me up for a serial number which it says is "inside the CD case". That'd be spiffy if it wasn't the DOWNLOAD version. I got an email right away with the order number and some other junk but it does me no good. Do NOT order this from Cakewalk thinking you'll D/L it and start messing with it right away. Oh, I'm sure I'll eventually get through to customer support but not tonight. They did charge my credit card right away though. Damn!

Hello there. I've just bought the above software, and I must say that the sound quality is simply breathtaking. However, when I try to use it with Sony Acid Music Studio 7.0, I cannot record in real-time! I've added Cakewalk Studio Instruments in Preferences and I have also managed to get each of the instruments loaded, but I still cannot record a loop or sample whilst using it in conjunction with Sony. Could anyone tell me why this is the case?

Unfortunately no. Guitar Tracks Pro is an audio only program that does not have MIDI or virtual instrument support. You would need to upgrade to something like SONAR Home Studio or SONAR Producer Edition in order to use virtual instruments.

OK. These are virtual instruments. You can play them by themselves, but they do not include capabilities for recording. In order to record the music you are making with them you need to "plug" them into recording software. In this video they are being used inside a recording program called Project5. If you use these instruments in conjunction with recording software you can record what you are playing, even go back and fix mistakes, then export an MP3 or a Wav file to burn on CD

This is a great history lesson. I missed JMJ when he came to Houston. I was only 10years old but I never forgave myself. I was out of town. That was supposed to be my Woodstock...lol. I grew up wanting to be like JMJ. Not your typical rock star dream. Learned how to play fourth rendezvous on the keyboard...at ten. thnx for the tips! Do u know if u can use 2 screen monitors with Logic Studio 8. (extendeds screen mode) example on my left screen i would have my track and on the right screen i would have my Eq;s or plugins...I find it a lot easier to record this way and since i dont have studio 8 yet im wanting to make sure that i Can split the screens and use my 2 monitors like i usally do. I just find myself more focused this way rather then having everthing on one screen. hope u can help thnx !!

It kinda looks like it, but I haven't used this program to say that it is. With Sessiondrummer 2 you can adjust tightness and individual volume and such, which is pretty neat. Cakewalk has a video about Sessiondrummer 2 up here as well I think.

Look at the video closely you'll see the slide on Yusef's little finger. Yusef also uses his fingers to dampen the strings. There are two strings on the Cigar Box Guitar. For the Bass Can I bend the split bamboo to tighten and loosen the string and change the pitch. There is no track playing. This was just one take, and just the two of us. Hey, I'm hugely into homemade instruments, and I like the ones you created, but there's no way you're hitting all those notes with the one stringed instrument, especially when you're not fretting them (or using the slide to act as a fretter). Do you have a track playing in the background?

I know, it's sad. The GH controllers are more responsive than the Rock Band Controllers. Why? Because Harmonix before owned GH and RB. Then GH was bought out, and they made better Guitars, or worse. I'm not sure which ones were better.
