I do listen to Michael Hedges and you are right about that this is where it all came from..with the exception that this is mainly coming from these guys frustration with the stiffness of playing Classical Music..they wanted to branch out into a more freeformed style and god did they ever!!! Wow.. Honestly I dislike most of the duets/trios from Candyrat. You end up with 2 or 3 fantastic guitarists who all produce so much sound the piece washes together. Antoine did a fantastic job of going to different registers and mixing up the rhythm so the two remain distinct from each-other. Great arrangement guys!

the guitar is in tune mostly im sure it was probably just the heat of the lights taking effect while he was making the video, sometimes the heat off lights can detune a guitar, its quite the hassel when plying live.

I have to agree, within the first few moments of hearing this it didnt sound at all in tune to me. I have the latest DVD with Craig, Antoine and Peter on, and this tune on it sounds and is played remarkably better than on this version. This is my fav Craig D'A tune :)

well, the fact is that this particular kind of instrumental guitar does use that repeating pattern, is kind of...well...the way it is. Even while you´re writing a song of this kind, repeating units 2 times seems like the most logical thing to do. You just let the song take it´s course...and that´s the way it goes almost all the time. When you get to that point, it´s a really nice feeling =p I understand what you meant, and it´s true LOL

I was there that night - I'm going to be honest and say that this arrangement was not very good... A couple reasons why: First, their guitars are not tuned exactly the same, one of them is out of tune and you can hear it... Second, there's just too much going on - 3 guitars is too much for this song, 2 may have worked better. Anyway, just my opinion - These guys are still amazing - Just not a fan of this arrangement.
