Honestly the beginning is really boring and very simple and isn't in the same style/basic ideas of the rest of the solo. He's definitely good but can't keep a tempo and hit's wrong keys a LOT causing many dissonance notes to be heard which are not intended. Just because it's fast, it doesn't mean it's extremely good.

Excellent idea...price point is a little unrealistic. People will buy this with the intention of never eating or drinking at their desk again, but alas, like all good ideas, this too shall fail. Within two days a few crumbs will be between the keys and you'll be buying $10 replacement keys by the end of the week. The replacement keys alone would make it cost prohibitive over the life of the keyboard.

Yes, truly it is not easy to use, it doesn`t feel like a kyboard at all because it i so flat that I have to watch what I typed rather then focus on screen. I hope they will have improvement on the next model. alternativily, ASUS is getting better and better on umpc, the r2h and the newest R3, take a look!

You sound like a classically trained musician. A real trainspotter. Been a while since you had a comission? If you really are experienced (I have around 15 years, by the way), you'd know better than to pick on something like "repetitive" when that's a pretty standard feature of this genre of music. They were clearly completely in the zone: clarity, sensitivity, precision. The orchestra was in great harmony with the soloist in terms of timing and mood, it's all very structured and to the point, very focused, at the same time very expressive. You can't really top that. You can, at best, interpret it differently, but this one works for me.

I heard the term de-crescendo being used by one of the best conductors of all time, Herbert von Karajan, in this video: /watch?v=Shc-4AZVaNk Listen from 7:20 for the de-crescendo being played, then here Karajan discussing it. It's quite interesting watching a good conductor talk an orchestra through a piece.

You'll get no arrogance from me - learning should be fun, not a trauma. I'd be delighted to answer your question. A de-crescendo is where the intensity/volume of the music steadily decreases. In this video you can therefore hear one from, I guess, 1:11 through 1:37. A crescendo is obviously then the opposite: the intensity builds to a peak. You can hear a small one directly before he starts the de-crescendo. I particularly love it at 1:24 where he makes it echo away, just incredible.
