yeah, he has in own fan base that tries to take photos of him doin something crazy, but as he is a well renound classical musician, principle cello in the oslo phil or somthing, he doesnt like to draw to much attention to himself, but he is flawless and just plays it without emotion showing on his face, its awesome to watch

Actually most of the time they record at least four cello parts on the album tracks, sometimes more. Quutamo is a good example. They have at least 6 individual cello parts going at the same time toward the end of that piece. It's still just Apocalyptica playing, they just record over themselves. You are correct though, in concerts they arrange the pieces for four cellos.

actually i did know it was written for 3, as Perttu, Eicca and Paavo are the 3 people of the original 4, then max left, but now they have antero to fill in on fourth parts, so they wrote a number of 4th parts for all their live shows, theyre either doubling or adding bass lines that just fill out the sound, so the 4th part you buy of harmageddon isnt a drum rendition on cello, its actually a part written by them so that the four of them could play, antero is the one with no emotion
