I really dont care whos the best player in the world. To be honest you seem like a guy who gets angry over nothing and hates jazz. Seriously one guy (I forget his name) comes on youtube and says Slash might not be the greatest guitarist in the world, ever and you start flaming jazz coz its not in your taste. If you knew how much practise it takes to be as good as Slash was in his prime you'd know that he doesn't do that much anymore because its a drain on you.

Haha... You think I sit in a coffee shop and I you think I preach about my musical knowledge - I think you should re-read your original post. It's the "wannabe musos" and "it is shit" that tipped me off. Yeah rock is more exciting to listen to but really a lot of rock bands are "wannabe musos" in comparison to jazz players. Slash is a very good guitarist but he doesn't compare to many jazz players because he has a name for himself and so can afford not to practise as much.

Well its not an issue. I'm not a fan of the new stuff. And with Atreyu you could tell they were softening up when they released "A Deathgrip on Yesterday" or whatever the album was. It had 2 or 3 songs that came close to songs from the The Curse, or the album before. A7X did change after time and after putting out album after album. Yet again, in my eyes they went downhill, which is my opinion. So clearly there is no need to correct my opinion. If you can't accept my opinion, that's your issue.

The point of atreyu does not relate to that of a7x, atreyu put out a new album that took a plunge straight into an alternative sound, where as a7x was able to with their sound through a progression of albums. so no one can say they have gotten worse, they continue to successfully put out album after album that is nothing like that of the first, liking it is your issue

Shadows had vocal chord problems, but their music style changed a lot too. I personally am into Hardcore/Screamo bands and thats why I thought their first 2 CD's were better then their more recent ones.
