The Dark City had some influence on matrix. It's pretty good too. I've never seen "The thirteenth floor" or "Existenz" but apparently those have a similar concept. you can try them. also maybe Vanilla Sky? the style is kinda different but the concept is similar so you might dig it. and i agree...i love watching the first half hour of matrix over and over.

You mean macintosh? I grew up on Dell/Windows, but have been using Apple/Mac for the past two years. What I would love is an Apple computer running Windows or Linux. Just because they are prettier. Realistically apple is too overpriced and their warranties and service are complete shit. My dad still runs Windows xp on a computer over ten years old. My macbook has crashed twice in the past year and not once did the warranty cover it.

do you know the difference between 'no' and 'know'? regardless....it's not the action of the movie that's interesting, it's the idea. and in that idea is the notion that 'the one' can control his environment like no other, i think they could have come with something better than martial arts and gun fights...if the 'muscles' he's using to fight aren't real, why use them at all? why block punches with his arms when he could easily block them with his mind? and retaliate with it as well...
