The narration has been edited to include research from a paper in Physical Review Letters (2004) which puts the size of the universe at 46.5 billion light years, not 78 billion as I originally stated. I would venture to say that you would get this same result, no matter what direction you chose to point the Hubble Telescope. How can you watch this and say that the Universe is FLAT? That's what they're saying because of the new info taken from the WMAP Project. Can someone explain?!

From Astronomy cafe, the minimum size of the BB singularity was a Plank length, 10^-33 centimeters. 0.00000000000000000000000000000001 centimeters. In other words, pretty darned small. If the universe continues to expand, then the boundaries also expand, but there is "nothing" beyond those boundaries. Also, the universe is mostly flat, so there's nothing 'above' or 'below', either. It's all very mind-blowing.

Actually,the size of the BB singularity was very small,link source. Beyond the edge of our BB,you will find nothing(darkspace)which COULD be an ocean were BB is given birth to,aftermaths of bb(like ours),i mean like galaxies floating around etc,universes can aswell^^but well thats up to our imagination,i mean whats the odds to find out the truth? Our bb could be non-detectable given the darkspace"nothing" is infinite atleast from my understanding,size of nothing lol, dont make any sense..lost^^

I have to disagree. The universe isn't nothing it is space. Just because most of the universe isn't made up of elements that we find on Earth doesn't mean there is nothing there. Space is still something whether it is filled with anything or not.

Actually, the size of the BB singularity was very small. That's been worked out. And since there was a finite amount of time for the universe to expand from that single, very small point, then it is only logical to conclude that the universe does indeed have boundaries and is not infinite in size. I know, it's freaky to think about there being 'nothing' past the edge of the universe. But that's the reality.

Is the universe neverending? well i have made myself an opinion which gives atleast me a tiny bit of sense,What is the universe? simple answer nothing(but its still something)that got galaxies/stars/dust etc in it. Can we get enough of nothing? no because nothing isnt any given size,which leads to "nothing" is an infinite state.Birth of nothing?dosnt exist,nothing cant be given birth to.Universe is neverending.For all we know TBB Singularity could have been centillion LY big(if TBB is true)
