And since you said Arabic literature and not "Muslim" Literature, see 'Khalil Gibran'- one of the foremost Lebanese-American thinkers of the twentiest century. Oh yeah, not to mention he's the third best-selling author of all time, right behind Shakespeare. This is one example, but to make the assertion that you did is inaccurate.

When God's message was revealed unto him, Allah was used as the term for Supreme God, Chrisitans and Jews living in the Arabian peninsula use "Allah" as the term to describe God in the Bible and Torah.
