don't compare Jetblue to Valujet, Valujet failed because of numerous safety problems, incidents and the horrific crash of flight 592, which was investigated on National Geographics "seconds from disaster". i like jetblue and had a pretty good experience with them. the embraers are a bit small but the a320's are great. the pilots and stewardess' are very nice and they will personally greet you when boarding or leaving.

ok. That was the first and only mistake. Yes, there may have been other small ones later and before, but you have to make mistakes, they arnt perfect. All airlines make mistakes. People learn from them, and Neeleman really apologised to these people and gave them refunds and explained how they are going to change. Thats the kind of thing you remember.

Maybe you don't know that they repeated the weekend meltdown situation....hundreds of flights canceled, customer service lines not answered for 2 days, people stranded in cities for days....and they continue to leave people on runways for HOURS. Another school team was stuck for 4 days in a strange city by JetBlue.

Actually, they're making similar mistakes on an ongoing basis. They landed a plane at the wrong airport, and made all the passengers get on buses to be driven to the right airport. When the weather gets bad, they continue to leave people without flights for days, while other airlines recover quickly. And they stop answering phones when the weather gets bad after your flight it cancelled.

During the blackout, they gave free ice cream to everyone, while american airlines sold water for 4 dollars. when I went to buffalo for a state gymnastics meet, the pilot came on the speaker and announced to the whole plane, that a gymnastics team was flying with them, as a joke, he said "no cartwheeling in the hallways" Thats the kind of things that I remember, and what make me want to fly the airline again. this mistake only made them learn.

They have reached the point where their offshore plane maintenance , substandard wages and employees, and inept operational management, combined with chronic understaffing, is making this a dangerous airline to fly. And today, 2 months later, the JetBlue Board of Directors finally removed David Neeleman from operating JetBlue. This was after the (continuing) fiascos cost Jet Blue over 44 million dollars in 2 months., for which Neeleman refused to assign responsibility to the incompetent managers in charge. The board forced him to go HIRE A COMPETENT manager from Delta. This paved the way to remove Neeleman, and his incompetent management style, from decisions at JetBlue.

My last two jetBlue flights were canceled or delayed because of flight crews/pilots not showing up. This airline is grossly understaffed, The once cheerful employees at the ticket counters and customer service are now curt, surly, sarcastic, and just plain rude.
