I took classical in my teens & was taught mid thumb. In my twenties from all around rock & jazz players taught the same. Now at 56 I want to use my thumb & it's a struggle. I agree with you, players like John Mayer, Hendrix are great 'blues hand' examples. There fingers are long and slender which appears to help. My fat fingers can cover two strings with one finger tip but I can't reach around with the thumb very well to play a B9 chord on the 7th fret (SRV Tightrope).

(to me.) really listen to this master. (sure that i will get some hate mail for this posting.)

I hate to agree because I am a big fan of Steves but this amplified acoustic thing sounds really crappy. It is really hard to get a decent tone in a big venue and it probably sounded really crisp and clean there, but some tones don't transfer well to other mediums, tape, CD, reel, ADAT, etc....

Hey, great vid(s)! I love how passionate the Albinoni sounds, it's like a modern film score... and there's far less Baroque (compared to Romantic) music like that. This is all great stuff, I've got a lot of it, such as Handel's Messiah and Water Music, Haydn's Surprise Symphony, the Boccherini, the Bach Toccata + Fugue, complete works of Moz and Beet etc. You should do videos highlighting some less-known good stuff they've written - but then, much pales in comparison to these celebrated works!

And the only basis for this came from wikipedia, no-where else said it. But anyway, you get taught in university never to use references from a website such as Britannica or Wikipedia because they can be edited by anyone and people make a game of editting an artical and seeing how long it takes for someone to notice

Wikipedia is no more unreliable than something like Encyclopedia Britannica- scientifically proven. Just because anyone can edit it does not automatically make it a piece of trash. There was a study done recently, actually, that said Wikipedia did have generally 5 errors per article while Britannica had 4. What I'm trying to say is that Wikipedia is a tertiary source, just like any encyclopedia. Just because you dis Wikipedia does not make your dissing justified.

Este un film reusit iar melodia face ca aceasta pelicula sa fie si mai tragica. Am primit aceasta melodie s'o ascult de la cineva ce i'am frant inima si sperantele....Cred ca sunt destul de matur incat sa pot da un sfat..ne sera pas enthousiaste dans une relation avec la personne et de connaître son passé, le risque qui s'est produit pour moi c'est la vie, aller de l'avant aucun signe de regrets... :)

I bought a copy of the sheet music for this piece then input the notes into Sibelius. A MIDI file was then exported from Sibelius and imported into Reason. From there I added a couple of effects and tweaked the MIDI data a little bit. The pics are scanned copies of the sheet music set to a transparent Mozart background.
