You explain the pauverty and pieuness because I have no idea what that is so tell me where it is at. Who says that a pastor can not live in a mansion or drive a BMW? Show me where it says that in the Bible as well. They both make money from books and other materials that they sell that makes them money. Those are not donations or tithes. Tithes is the only money that goes to the church and to take care of the Pastor and family if needed.

Do you not see what the media is doing? They are taking clips from an interview and making it look like he is saying something else. They show TD saying that Jesus is the product but not showing what question was asked or his whole statement and then replacing the rest with thier own words. Have you watched TD Jakes? I don't think so or you wouldn't be believing this garbage. All churches ask 4 money for two reasons, God says to give 10% to Him and the Church is not able to function without it.

The media are the ones that are putting in people heads that they are doing this for money. Only them and God knows if they are in it for the business or the message. I attend a mega church and everyone always think that because they have a lot of money. Think about it...... a bigger congregation equals more tithers equals more money equals able to afford a bigger church. No one should say anything about anyone unless they actually know themselves.

There is something very wrong when ministers preach more about how to increase your income more than what is desired of God. Nothing wrong with living well, but I will continue and prosper as God allows here on earth but I like others will be most interested in things that are eternal. Just get back to teaching how eternal life with the Father can be reached.

The churches after the book of Acts can't even compare to most churches today. Sin is so rampant in most of them and it has also reached the pulpit. Do your research on TD Jakes, Joel Osteen and some of the most popular mega-preachers. The presence of God was so real in the early church that sinners could not bear it. First: God is not a product, He is the way. How can this man sell the gospel when it's free for us. Jesus already paid the price. How can anyone sell something that is free? Jesus didnt say that we should convice, or sell the gospel. He said that we should preach the gospel (telling everyone about the salvation of Jesus Christ). Second: This is den of thives. Finacial empowerment isnt an issue in the African-Amercian church. AIDS, abortion, sexual immorality are issues in the church.

Why do all of the people who say they worship Jesus live total opposite of the way Jesus did. Do they not know how Jesus lived, when you worship some one you try to live like them and be like them. I think they worship Joel instead of Jesus. While Joel worships your money.
