It manages only the spending so that government PAYS for it, instead of having people go bankrupt for getting sick, which is a rather barbaric system. There would be no lines under a universal health care system in the United States because we have about a 30% oversupply of medical equipment and surgeons, whereas demand would increase about 15%.

I think the only fact I presented was that over 40 million tax filers paid zero federal income tax in 2004. Others can infer from that what they will. This comment is misleading, and will be deleted. Many people who pay no INCOME tax are BELOW the poverty line. And the bottom 80% of the people pay more in PAYROLL tax -- see the tax-distribution in the video "Social Security (Ecolanguage)," about a minute in. Bush's Tax Cuts shift the burden of federal taxes DOWNWARD, onto the poorer people who pay payroll tax. Interesting video with some good points - the Bush deficits are inexcusable. But this video is flawed by its leftist bias. In 2004 (the year this slanted video was made) over 40 million tax filers paid no federal income tax at all (that is 1/3 of all filers). Here's an idea if the taxes are so high, give the employees raises since Al's boss has no logical reason for making more than the people he highers... Or buy a lot of stock so when the economy does better from those taxes, you get the profits your company makes along with having that money have actual value and not be inflated McCain dollars.

All businesses only pay tax on their net profit. If your uncle's business is *netting* over $250,000 a year, then he does have the cash flow to keep keep those two employees. If profits are going down, then taxes are going down. The rhetoric of the McCain campaign seems to be confusing people into thinking the tax rate would go up on businesses that *gross* more than $250k. That's just not true. Learn some basics of business accounting if you are interested in all this.

His business takes in more than $250,000 in revenue, but after expenses, like payroll, etc, he's probably personally taking home less than a quarter a million dollars. When the state takes the capital from one group of people and gives it to another that is socialism. And there is hardly much "private property" any more. The banks own most of this "private property" and the state owns the central bank. Or the bank could own the state either way its still not owned by the individual. The government forces unionization of automakers, infact most production is regulated by the state. And most companies get loans from the banks to buy the means of production.

You will find that I owed the IRS about $1000 when I filed my taxes is 2006 and I owed the IRS and the state of VA a few thousand dollars in 2007 in which I paid. The 16th Amendment did not establish an income tax. It merely made it immune from requirements that it be apportioned with regard to a census. The first income tax was levied in 1861, over 50 years before the 16th amendment was ratified. Regardless, the point is moot. Were it to be shown that an income tax was somehow never passed into law, then Congress would IMMEDIATELY pass such a law, and we'd be right where we are now.
