Don't Tear it Down Posted by: hotziggettypancakes
Video duration: 242 seconds vSpy song about living in the Sydney squats under the threat of demolition to build a freeway. We lived there for 6 years & rehearsed and wrote most of the original material that formed our first albums at 69 Darling Street Glebe, NSW Australia. They were the best of times for us because we were totally united in our struggles for success as a band. I work for a rugby club in Ireland and this is a song that has become a bit of a theme song in the gym...never ceases to amaze me how music can have such an impact on so many unrelated peoples lives.

Great song, great rock venue. Sadly the Dee Why Hotel was bulldozed last year. After too many drinks on its final night, we staggered home and played Don't Tear it Down at blistering volume and reminisced about the many Spys full-house Friday night gigs at "The Venue" in the mid 80s. Thanks Craig, the band left a great legacy remembered by many.

yea I'll agree with that, as with all their songs, full of life.. Used to like how Blox talked to the crowd about the songs.. Mike was always the kewl dude and Cliff, was hidden!
