Every single member had their part in the band and if it weren't for all of them being in the band the Pumpkins wouldn't be the band the once were and are today. And if it were just Billy his solo stuff would of took off and he would be a huge solo artist,I like his solo stuff though. And Adore was no Jimmy and that is just as good as Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie. Yes everyone knows that Smashing Pumpkins is Billy and Jimmy they also all know that Pumpkins is, was, should be James and Darcy.

I do like his writing tough but I mean he's not exactly Smashing pumpkins, Billy Corgan type writer But he did have an extremally important rule in the pumpkins, he kept Billy and D'arcy from killing each other

"I Am One" is the first single by The Smashing Pumpkins. It was the band's first ever release and remains the only single issued by the band with co-writing credits to both Billy Corgan and James Iha.

I like how you back your fact up with "everyone knows" to make yourself feel better. James Iha wrote a lot people's "favorite songs" from the smashing pumpkins. you fail to give credit where it is deserved. No one can ever put sense into a mind like yours. It was obviously my opinion by me saying that "I think" Then people like you have to open their mouth when it's better left closed.

The fact that you're wrong. The only members needed for the right sound are Billy and Jimmy. Everyone knows those two wrote and recorded each part on every album (with the exception of the non-JC days).

Fraid not kid. He wrote very little. He did CO-write a few good songs, but mostly what he kicked in was just Billy letting him feel important. I do, however, think he's a better fit to APC. That's a little more of a collaboration.

Billy DOES deserve an ass kicking for being a dick for years. That being said, the band isn't missing Iha, and he really didn't contribute much. This song is pretty as long as you ignore the terrible, terrible chorus.

IDK. I love them both, so I wouldn't dare compare them; since their styles are so wildly different, it wouldn't be fair at all. I love James for doing experimental things, but John is a lot better at straightforward things.
