Yes LBJ did but Great Society, civil rights, and medicare are all huge dynamic changes for the US. Kennedy saved us from WWIII. Eisenhower was simply a good conservative who balanced the budget. In the early 1980's he sent large amounts of arms & cash to what is now the Islamist rebels known as Al Qaeda. He sent large shipments of weapons to Saddam Hussein. The late '70's saw the beginning of the fall of Poland with Solidarity being formed in the unions of the shipyards. To Rip2pac, Reagan helped everyone when he fixed the Jimmy Carter screw ups. He stopped the windfall profit tax impossed on the oil companies by Carter, and got the oil flowing again. That got gas to the stations so we didn't have to wait in line 4 hours for gas praying they didn't run out before we got to the pump, and lowered prices.
