This song should be quite relevant today. Ironically the album "Low budget" brought Kinks commercial success after a few not so successful albums; which were nevertheless great efforts. But I think Kinks benefited from the punk vogue. "You really got me" is a kind punk aboriginal.

Wow...heres another GREAT band/group from the seventies! Kinks hard great duration. They were london/import pysechelic fantastic in the end of sixties... But my coming of age was late seventies/early 80's... punk rock edge... great rock and roll! I'm on a low budget...yeah But I can also fly like Superman!

Agreed. When did you ever hear Captain Beyond on the radio or John Baldry. Or they'll play just a band's big hits like Born to be Wild but none of Steppenwolf's other stuff. What really pisses me off they're putting rap bands into the Hall of Shame but not the Moody. Blues, Steppenwolf or Grand Funk Railroad. I hope a meteor hits that place.
