This guy is qualified to say anything about knowledge (maybe except literature and the arts, maybe). All he does is learn, study and postulate. You think he cares about women? All he cares about is discovery. Plus he happens to be a super genius, anything he says is worth taking a harken to.
By: tubeonly00. on 03 Dec 08, 21:26:49
It is so blatantly obvious that you have no idea what you're talking about. Think about this for a moment: he's a theoretical physicist. Now, pay attention, and think about how much of what he claims falls outside his area of expertise and in fact has zero relevance to his field of study.
By: tubeonly00. on 03 Dec 08, 21:24:09
Are you kidding me? He's commenting on the natural progression of civilization, and then extending those ideas into half-baked theories of the future evolution of society. The best part: his only area of expertise is mathematical physics. Does that mean anything to you? Did you ever stop and think, "Hey, he's making social commentary on the EU as an international political entity even though he's only A PHYSICIST."
By: xg8512. on 03 Dec 08, 18:09:28
he is making assertions in fields of study in which he apparently knows nothing just like when scientists put laws on something yet to be fully understood that's science for you duh di you not know that everything was made from the unseen in other cases from nothing.
By: lordcron. on 03 Dec 08, 11:55:53
What it comes down to ultimatly is profit. Who will prevail the ones who are profitting from things staying the same or those who see a bigger picture and can minuver above or around those who profit from things staying the same. Moving to type 1 would threaten the livelyhood of those at the top who don't think anything is wrong with how things are. Think about it. traval could be way more advanced then it is but to many people in power are keeping things the same. So.... Who will win ultamatly.
By: Celinancc1701. on 03 Dec 08, 11:51:29
Are you kidding me? This is Kaku, he knows everything. Put it this way, he knows everything worth knowing.

Venus Project and Zeitgeist movement propose a resource based economy which without technology would turn into socialism. As you probably know, Carl Marks socialist structure was supposed to be utopia. But it failed because of human error: greed. You can have just a few very rich people but there will never be just a few technicians in the world. Imagine that everything would be open source. How could a technician cheat the system with so many other technicians around?
By: McOath. on 02 Dec 08, 23:01:19
I've seen both movies, they're good. But the venus project, does not address the route of human conflict, class, it simply gives us technicians for overlords instead of bankers, is that better? Bankers are better than Kings, Technicians are probably an improvment over Bankers, but the destructive class structure will remain, in the venus project, regardless.
By: Avatarian8888. on 02 Dec 08, 19:56:45
Please tell me someone else here understands that he is constantly making assertions in fields of study in which he apparently knows nothing. I haven't stopped cringing since this video started.
By: radsimu. on 01 Dec 08, 23:41:54
And what happens today? A group of people who create money out of nowhere are the overlords. You should watch zeitgeist addendum(the second part) to understand better what is Venus Project. Humans are driven by greed. One or a group could not possibly rule the world using open source technology. And... human error is much greater than technology error. I still can't believe you made such a comparison... If a "technocracy" would be disastrous than it means we are now leaving in hell.
By: McOath. on 01 Dec 08, 23:17:37
Venus project? Technocracy, we all know that every technology we have in emperfect, even the simplest screw, and the most upto date computer because it is built and maintained by human beings. A computerized government will suffer from glitches, which could be disasterous, and the only people who would be able to fix it, would be the technocratic class, who would be our overlords at that point. We cannot technocrize society, we can democratize it.
By: McOath. on 01 Dec 08, 23:14:15
NAFTA and EU positive forces? no, these are not organizations which promote tolerance and diversity, NAFTA I know does just the opposite, and I'm sure we don't need to look far past greece to see the same in the EU, if you want this to make sense just think of the worlds psuedo totalitarian governments and corperatins as more international terror.
By: radsimu. on 01 Dec 08, 11:20:42
The first part of the first zeitgeist movie is indeed offensive to you, religious fanatics; but if that is a problem, just ignore that part and concentrate on the others. Religion is not going to vanish very soon so, be happy about this. The Venus project is the only plan for the next step in evolution that I know about and it doesn't exclude religions.
By: wordsdontdescribeme. on 01 Dec 08, 07:21:41
lol @ the zeitgeist movie/movement. don't be fooled so easily. watch the series on zeitgiest refuted. Revalations explains to all of us that the demons will attack our minds from every angle during the end of days to stare us away from Christ. Peace and God Bless

Join the zeitgeist movement! The monetary system will soon fail and when that happens we must choose The Venus Project against a global dictatorship.
By: Xoldar2600. on 30 Nov 08, 10:32:58
I think there is some good thoughts on this, but I don't thnik that the Rockafellers and the central bankers that run everything would even care about comparing themselves, the civilization they own, and the advancements they have to a "Type 1 Civ". Nor would they enable a regular class of people to advance to beyond control. "I do not wish to have educated people, but a class of workers..." ~David Rockafeller Council on Foreign Relations and 1 of 3 Federal Reserve Architects
