You get mentally addicted; unlike nicotine. Just look at all the alcoholics. Alcohol doesn't contain nicotine but you see tons of people stuck with it. Depends on how much daily use to it though. Someone who drinks cola every day can develop an addiction to that too. If someone smokes too much pot from time to time, they'll probably going to get addicted because they're used to that high.
